Gutters, Soffit & Fascia in Cocolalla, Idaho

A gutter system is only as good as the spot where it finally releases the water, and around Cocolalla Lake far too many downspouts empty a few feet from the wall and quietly soak the ground the house is standing on.

Frequently asked questions

As a rule we aim to move water at least four to six feet from the foundation, and farther on lots that slope toward the house. Depending on grade we use downspout extensions, buried drain lines that daylight downhill, or splash blocks set on firm ground. The right distance depends on your soil and slope, which is why we walk the lot before quoting.

Often, yes. If your existing gutters are sound and properly sloped, we can add or relocate downspouts, extend discharge points, and correct where water lands without a full replacement. We will tell you honestly whether a targeted drainage fix or a new system makes more sense for your Cocolalla home.

Only if the fascia is compromised. Gutters bolt directly to the fascia board, so if it is soft or rotted the gutters will sag and lose their slope. We inspect every fascia run first and replace what is damaged so your new gutters drain correctly and stay put.

Yes. DG Contracting is licensed and insured in both Idaho and Washington, so your project in Cocolalla and the rest of Bonner County is fully covered under an Idaho license.

Tree cover does mean more debris, so we size gutters and downspouts generously and can fit guards suited to needle and leaf loads. Combined with the right number of downspouts, that keeps water flowing through instead of overflowing behind the fascia.
