A full-system install, not just a shingle layer
A roof installation done right is an engineered assembly, and every layer matters when you are building or rebuilding in Reardan. DG Contracting installs the complete GAF system: a clean, properly fastened deck, synthetic underlayment that will not crack in the cold, ice-and-water shield in the valleys and along the eaves, starter strip, architectural shingles, ridge cap, and a balanced intake-and-exhaust ventilation plan.
On a new build especially, this is your one chance to get the bones right. We coordinate with framers and general contractors so flashing details, vent placement, and deck nailing are correct from the start - no shortcuts buried under shingles that surface as leaks five winters later.
Engineered for open wind exposure
Homes around Reardan sit on flat, treeless ground where the wind comes across the fields with nothing to slow it down. That open wind exposure is the single biggest factor we design around on a new install.
- High-wind fastening: nailing patterns and shingle ratings chosen for a site without windbreaks, not a sheltered city lot.
- Sealed perimeters: starter strip and properly adhered edges so wind cannot lift shingles from the rakes and eaves.
- Locked-down ridge and hip lines: the spots wind tries hardest to peel, detailed to stay put.
The goal is a roof that behaves the same in a gusty February storm as it does on a still summer afternoon.
Built for the Lincoln County climate
Out in Lincoln County wheat country the weather swings hard: deep snow loads, long freeze-thaw cycles, and the ice dams that form when heat escapes an under-ventilated attic. A new roof is the moment to solve all three at once.
We build in ice-and-water protection where meltwater backs up, set ventilation so the deck stays cold and snow melts evenly instead of refreezing at the eaves, and choose materials rated for the temperature extremes this part of the Inland Northwest throws at a roof every year.
Why homeowners here choose DG Contracting
We are a family-owned company that has been roofing the region since 2013, and we hold GAF Master Elite certification - a credential carried by only the top two to three percent of roofers nationwide. That standing lets us back your installation with a 15-25 year workmanship warranty plus the GAF Golden Pledge, covering materials and labor for 25 to 50 years.
We are licensed and insured in both Washington and Idaho, our work is backed by a 5.0 rating across 288 Google reviews, and when your installation includes a tear-off we include a 15-25 year workmanship warranty. What the installation process looks like
We start with a free, no-pressure estimate where we walk the project, talk through material and color options, and put real numbers on paper. From there a typical install runs as follows:
- Prep and protection: tear-off of any existing roof, deck inspection, and ground protection for landscaping and outbuildings.
- System buildout: underlayment, ice-and-water shield, flashing, shingles, ridge cap, and ventilation installed in sequence.
- Cleanup and walkthrough: full magnetic nail sweep and a final review with you before we leave the site.
Flexible financing is available, so a new roof on a new home or an aging one stays within reach.
New builds and full replacements alike
Whether you are framing a new house on acreage outside town or finally replacing the original roof on an established Reardan home, the same full-system approach applies. On a new build we get every detail right the first time; on a replacement we correct whatever the old roof got wrong - poor ventilation, thin flashing, the wrong fasteners for this wind - and leave you with a roof engineered for where you actually live.
