Why low-slope roofs need a different playbook here
Plenty of homes and small commercial buildings around Shadle Park in NW Spokane carry roof planes that barely tilt - flat additions, carport tie-ins, and the long shallow runs you see on so many mid-century ramblers. Those shapes shed water by membrane, not by gravity, so the wrong system traps meltwater and lets it work into seams.

Before we lay a single sheet, we map where water wants to go. That can mean tapered insulation to rebuild positive slope, relocating or adding drains and scuppers, and tightening every penetration so meltwater exits instead of pooling. Getting the water off the roof is the whole job - the membrane just buys you the time to do it right.
Tie-ins where flat meets pitched
A lot of Shadle Park houses are not purely flat - they are pitched shingle roofs with a flat porch, addition, or garage stitched on. That transition is exactly where leaks start. The membrane has to terminate cleanly under the shingle field and behind wall flashing so wind-driven rain and sliding snow cannot get behind it.
